What does Sun Exposure and Dehydration damages ?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Sun Exposure

I was just wondering the other day, on this topic as I failed to find my answer online , but here goes I might find it here ….

now if a person works in the sun for a long time and for some reason doesn’t drink water …

what will happen to that person ?

If he or she is sweating a lot they could have heat exhaustion and pass out. The sweat cools the body. Then they are most likely dehydrated too.
Why would someone do this anyway? If you are the one then just by being online you are prob. ok. Take care.

Any danger in taking a bath under the sun or immediately after sun exposure?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Sun Exposure

Some people and doctors in Burma believe that people shouldn’t take bath after heat exposure for they are afraid of sudden death or stroke after rapidly changing body temperature. Is it true that sudden changes in body temperature can cause damages in thermoregulatory system? Who can explain that concept?

That would have to be a pretty cold bath, I would think.

How do I protect my daughter from sun exposure in her car seat?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Sun Exposure

My daughter just switched to a convertible toddler car seat. She was previously in an infant car seat, that had a convenient shading device that I could move around to keep the sun off her face at any angle. Her new car seat has no such device. We have window shades on the side windows, but sun always comes in from the back window into her face and its very upsetting for her. What can I do about this?

Go to Babies R Us. They have film that cling to the windows but it is see through so it won’t block your view. It is made by Safety 1st.

how much sun exposure should a 20 month old african american baby have?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Sun Exposure

my 20 month old is in a day camp type envirorment and seems to get very red and flushed is he getting to much sun?

I always thought all babies needed to be well coated with high SPF lotion all summer and to limit their over all exposure SPF or not.

Not just for skin protection but because it is very easy for their core temperature to rise too much if they get too much Sun Exposure. They also need to be well hydrated because they can very quickly sweat to critical dehydration since they are so little.

I hardly ever go outside, can less sun exposure cause hair to grow more and in unusual places?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Sun Exposure

I have dark brown hair which means the hair on my body is more noticeable than a light haired person and I get bad sideburns and hair under my chin. Could this be because I don’t get enough sun? Does being out in the sun more help decrease hair growth?

No, being in the sun doesn’t cause you to grow more hair. But it does make your finer, thinner hair (sideburns, arms, etc.) lighter. Some of my dark haired friends (girls) grow a little hair under their chin and they have to shave… so I think it’s perfectly normal! Btw you can trim your sideburns and it will look normal if you do it right!(:

Why does sun exposure cause moles?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Sun Exposure

I’m wondering about this because in the past before modern times people spent everyday of their lives in the sun, working or traveling or just playing. Shouldn’t have this evolved out ages ago? We shouldn’t be getting negative effects from Sun Exposure.

Well we call them gophers here, I dont think the sun has much to do with it.

Does anyone know of the myths about tanning and sun exposure?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Sun Exposure

I’ve heard that usually only white people of fair complexion get sun burnt. I’m Mexican and brown skinned, not super dark, but a little dark. I go swimming almost everyday and I never get no sun burnt at all. Of course I get extremely brown, but are there any risks that I should be worried about? Do people of color have to wear sun block as well?

yess, everyone should wear sunscreen even if u dont get burnt because ANYONE could develop Skin Cancer.. i know its bad, but i tan all the time and i use to be REALLLLLY white. so no, not all fair complxed people burn. they just have to take it slow and build up their Tanning time

How long should I avoid sun exposure after having a mole removed?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Sun Exposure

I am considering having a couple moles removed and was wondering how long I would have to stay out of the sun

I guess it depends on how they will remove those moles, and where they are located. If they are tested and found to be cancerous, you’ll have to limit Sun Exposure all your life. If they are just cosmetic and benign, go ahead and party!

But remember, we don’t want to see your gross surgery sites, or hear how dreadful the whole 7-minute outpatient experience was.

What does your doctor say?

How do you deal with sun exposure to pre-existing burns?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Sun Exposure

I have several burns on my arm, they are old and just look like slightly darker skin. Actually there were barely visible before, but the sun made them slightly more visible. I am very worried that this could be a Skin Cancer risk so I am going to make sure these areas are covered.

Is it a significant risk, or should I not worry that they are darkening?

It is chronic Sun Exposure that causes skin cancer, not exposure from this year. Probably no problem now, but may consider skin exam at the dermatologists to look for problems. Keep the areas covered.

Does sun exposure change your face structure or is it ancestral?
