What is the best tanning accelerator for fair skin in a tanning bed?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Tanning

I am very fair skinned and I also burn very easily. I have been Tanning in a tanning bed before and have just burned. I would like to find a lotion to help fix this problem and give me a good base tan so later on a can get darker.

Nothing. You do realize that although you may get a slight tan right now you are damaging your skin for the future, right? I know 40 may seem like years away, but when you are there and your skin looks "old" think back to now. Stop tanning or you will end up with nasty brown spots all over your face (very difficult and expensive to remove) and dry, wrinkly skin (ewww). Your skin is a certain color with certain quantity of melanin. Use the spray tans instead. You WERE NOT MEANT to be TAN! Really.

Whats the difference between indoor and outdoor tanning lotion?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Tanning

Ok, so besides the obvious, that one is for indoor tanning and one for outdoor, and that outdoor lotion may or may not have SPF, what are the differences?

Can one use outdoor tanning lotion in a tanning booth?
Does one specifically need to buy indoor Tanning lotion for a tanning booth?

outdoor lotions have mineral oil and other ingrediants that damage the acrlyics of the beds. they usually check lotions and salons and even if not you may have to pay alot of money to get the acrylics replaced if you ruin them with your cheap lotion. you can use an indoor lotion outdoors but not the other way around

The Joys And Sorrows Of Tanning Beds

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Tanning

The modern advent of tanning beds meant that a healthy, glowing tan was no longer relegated exclusively to the summer. Suddenly a year long tan was possible – and achievable. Tanning beds delivered the positive feelings of the natural sun regardless of the weather. And for a small fee, you could spend up to fifteen glorious minutes warm and toasty under the glow of the lights – and leave feeling healthy and vibrant.

When we expose ourselves to natural sunlight, we expose ourselves to a combination of ultraviolet light known as UVA and UVB rays. UVA rays – the longer wavelengths of the sunlight – reach our deepest layers of skin; UVB rays – the shorter wavelengths – affect our top layer of skin. Tanning beds – as an alternative – put out a lesser combination of UVA and UVB rays – increasing the opportunity for tanning while minimizing exposure to dangerous rays.

The danger comes from overexposure to both UVA and UVB rays – although UVB rays are considered infinitely more dangerous. Tanning beds offer 40% less exposure to UVB rays. However, this does not in any way mean that you are completely protected. If you absolutely must tan – if you are fair skinned it is recommended that you not tan at all – it is important to do so responsibly. In order to minimize your risk of sun damage – the early aging of skin, including wrinkling, and various Skin Cancers, including melanoma – it is absolutely essential to use lotions that offer your skin at least partial protection against UV rays.

The dangers being said, the joys of tanning beds are self-evident. Tanning beds offer convenience – a way to achieve the glow and vitality of summer all year long. And a way to achieve that look in virtually half the time it takes to tan outdoors. Tanning beds can deliver the warmth and good feelings of a summer day even in the cold of winter; and, if nothing else, allow you a few minutes of solitary relaxation for a heavenly fifteen minutes.

Spray Tanning: A Preferred Alternative To Sun Tan

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Tanning

Folks can’t live without fashion now a days. Anything that corresponds to the ongoing fashion style and trend happens to be most sought after. That’s why the current fashion fever of tanning is high in demand. In America and elsewhere tanning has established itself as a permanent industry. This unending fashion statement has paved the way for numerous alternatives to sun tan. For example, tanning lotions, tanning pills and Tanning beds have come up as various tanning equipments. And one highly quick way of acquiring tan is spray tanning.

A good number of spray tanning booths are spread all over America. They offer you tan color at reasonable price. And above all, spray tanning is found to be safer than all other alternatives to sun tan. In fact dermatologists prefer recommending spray tanning over tanning beds.

Lotions used in these spray tanning booths are usually made up of SPF formula and hardly gives way to any side effect on skin. You can check a tanning booth for care and precaution that it takes while offering spray tanning before undergoing the process. Once you get comfortable with spray tan you can regularly visit the booth for keeping a tan color. Usually spray tan lasts for around six to eight days.

Post spray tanning, you need to use some moisturizer on your skin. A good moisturizer helps you sustain the tan color and makes your skin glow, just like sun tan.

Some of the booths use bronzer while the others prefer DHT after the lotion is sprinkled on the body. Bronzer results in immediate glowing skin while DHT takes some hours to give a look of sun tan. However dihydroxyacetone is a preferred tanner by most of the spas and tanning salons.

Before going for this tanning procedure you must consult dermatologist to ascertain nature of your skin as people with certain types of skin are not recommended for spray on tan. For examples folks with dry skin are not recommended to visit spray tanning booths.

You can seek spray on tan in even twenty five dollars. Usually the cost of getting this artificial tan color ranges between twenty five to one twenty five dollars.

You should refrain yourself from taking shower before you go to spray tanning booth and post tanning you should keep a check over your mobility for a few while.

Lastly, don’t forget examining your skin for any side effect or reaction after tanning and if you find so, immediately visit your dermatologist.
